As mushrooms begin to emerge victorious in western health and wellness, we’re glad you choose us at Multiverse to help you along your mushroom journey. To help you out on this journey, this blog post was created to familiarize you with the products we offer here.

In our shop you can view products in one of two ways: shop by benefit or shop mushroom.

We have segmented our products into four different benefits.

1. Energy

We understand that the world can be busy, especially right now. Instead of relying on caffeinated products, look at products with reishi, shiitake, and cordycep mushrooms in them. Reishi, Shiitake and Cordyceps are three functional mushrooms that can boost your energy levels. Reishi mushrooms are packed with essential antioxidants that can help lower fatigue and depression, Shiitake mushrooms are packed with B vitamins that can increase your concentration and Cordycep mushrooms can help improve your athletic performance and overall mood.

2. Immunity

As we live through a pandemic and the winter season encroaches upon us, it’s important that we are giving our immune system all the power it needs. Reishi, Chaga, Turkey Tail and Lion’s Mane are four functional mushrooms that can strengthen your immune system. Reishi mushrooms increase your amount of white blood cells that help fight off infections, Chaga mushrooms fight against RNA viruses, Turkey Tail mushrooms fight off illnesses and Lion's Mane has a protein that helps healthy gut bacteria grow.

3. Chill

Even with a busy life, everyone needs to take a minute to appreciate themselves and their body. The easiest way to do this is by setting aside times each week to relax and rejuvinate. Reishi, Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps and Poria are four functional mushrooms that can reduce your stress. Reishi mushrooms contains polypeptides that can relax your mind, Lion’s Mane mushrooms control neurotransmitters involved that can cause depression, Cordyceps mushrooms stimulate your adrenal glands and balance out your nervous system and Poria mushrooms have antidepressant elements that can reduce your anxiety levels

4. Focus

In order to create time to chill, you need to focus; you don’t have time to relax when everything is piling up on your plate. Lion’s Mane, Shiitake, Poria and Oyster are four mushrooms that can improve your focus. Lion's Mane mushrooms help improve memory and reduce brain fog, Shiitake mushrooms are packed with B vitamins that help your brain function, Poria mushrooms reduce cell death and Oyster mushrooms have the ability to protect against damage from free radicals.

Now that we’ve broken down the benefits, let’s take a look at our wide range of mushroom-product terminology.

1. Elixirs vs. Tinctures

An elixir is powdered mushroom extract that you can add to a wide variety of drinks. The goal is to make it easy for you to get your daily dose of mushrooms. These can be added to hot tea, juices, smoothies, coffee, you name it. Meanwhile, a tincture is the extract of a functional mushroom that is dissolved in alcohol to increase the absorption rate of the benefits. Tinctures are meant to be the quickest way to reap the benefits of functional mushrooms.

2. Superfoods & Supplements

A superfood is a food with exceptional nutrient density, these combined with supplements provide powerful adaptogens. You may not have realized it, but one superfood you may have had in a smoothie is spirulina! Spirulina isn’t a mushroom, but a micro-algae that can help with various body functions like weight loss or heart health as well as an aide for mental and emotional disorders such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

3. Snacks

Everyone is hungry all the time (or at least I am) and one of the most convenient ways to get a dose of functional mushrooms is with our wide range of snacks. One of the most popular kinds of snacks is jerky, but we offer a lot more like energy bars, chocolate, and even gummies.

These are the four categories we break our products down to and for them to be sold in our shop, they have to pass The Multiverse Approval Process.
