What is your mushroom spirit animal and why?

My mushroom spirit animal is the Shiitake Mushroom. This past winter I spent the season in Northern Japan on the island of Hokkaido. Every day I would hike for 5-6 hours through the wilderness in search for perfect snowboarding lines. As I adventured through the remote region full of Shiitake Mushrooms I felt connected to the powerful fungi species. At the end of every day I felt my passion for the outdoors boosted my immunity and supported my health in so many amazing ways just like my fungi friend.

Tell us one of your favorite facts that captivated you with the fungi world.

Land plants and terrestrial animals would not exist without fungi. Fungi were some of the first complex life forms on land, mining rocks for mineral nourishment, slow turning them into what became soil.
